The works in this collection were painted En Plein Air during an artist residency program in Skopelos, Greece, in 2022. I continued the work I started at this residency and created a series of larger Greece studio works exploring light and color. These studio pieces from this new series titled "By the Light of the Sea" are also included here.

The works in this collection were painted in Italy or inspired by travel to Italy. In 2016 I was selected for a residency program in Southern Italy, I have been intrigued by the mediterranean light since then and not looked back. More recent work was based on a trip to the Italian Riviera where I painted on location.
